Can we get an option for aligning the top sites to either the center or the left? I much prefer the left-sided top sites; I know there are others that do as well, and don’t want to remove the centered top sites for those that prefer it.

Why does the NTP look different?
Because we updated the design recently. The new design has everything the previous one had plus more, allowing for more top-site/favorite tiles to be added to the NTP, has a minimal look with less clutter over the image being used and will be easier to implement new cards/widgets/features in the future.

I don’t like it, can I change it back?
For now yes you can. You can visit brave://flags, search for New Tab Page Refresh and change the value for this flag to Disabled. Please note that there will come a time in a future update where this flag gets removed and everyone will be using the new layout.

How do I get my favorite sites back to the left hand side?

Enter this URL: brave://flags/ Then find this and disable it: New Tab Page refresh

Fewer favorites icons on the home page

@norioes at least for now, just disable it at brave://flags. But keep in mind most of the things in flags are experimental or just temporary. Most likely this flag will be removed at some point in the future. No idea how long until they remove it, but just keep in mind most things there are only there for a little while after changes are made just in case there’s any issues people experience. [image] So you can go disable, but at some point you may have to “deal with it” so to speak.

Move "top searches/home icon bookmarks" back to left side?

@craxton this is the new design. This isn’t a bug or anything. Even just reading through the most recent would have been enough. But otherwise it’s good just to use simple terms, like “new tab page” or “top sites” to see what it comes, always sorting by most recent.

@_Jailer it’s called the search function.

You type in a word or phrase. Then it shows. It doesn’t take long and is very easy. Quicker than making a topic. It works on Reddit, Brave Community, X, and just about any website you go to. You should try using it sometime.
