why are the icons such as youtube and discord, and the brave statistics, in the middle? they used to be on the left and changed today

They actually changed much earlier than today. You’ll see it’s been talked about for more than a week. You just updated today or didn’t notice until now. If you look through posts you’ll see lots of people asking about it, such as:

And many, many more. It’s sad that people never search and instead just rush to post.

To be fair @Saoiray it does say in the Release Notes v1.83.108 (Oct 2, 2025) (https://brave.com/latest/):
”Updated the New Tab Page design (being rolled out in phases using Griffin starting at 15%)”

So we didn’t ALL get it right away :winking_face_with_tongue: Anyway, hope you’ve been doing well, it’s been almost a year since I’ve been around these parts.

& @piyushgamer2111 it’s perfectly fine, I did it myself and have had no problems, it just reverts things back to the way it was, at least for a limited time, we’ll likely need to either get used to the changes or hopefully they’ll listen to users and make some modifications, also if you care to vote for my suggestion in my Topic/Post here, please do so, as you wish:

Given it is probably the new UI that’s cause it, I’ll stick this here. Favourites are broken (?). Now they are either all or scroll left and right to reveal. Also left click, open in new tab for them, doesn’t work either.

It used to be just 12 per page, now it’s doubled and it’s 24 per page. I’m not quite sure what you’re referencing here where you say anything is broken

Never been left click. It’s right click. And that does work. But the difference is if you right click the site logo, it’s going to ask you about editing or removing the favorite. If you click click on the name, it lets you do to open in new tab.

Also don’t forget you can

  • Shift+Left Click to open in new window
    or
  • Ctrl+Left Click to open in new tab for existing window.

What do you mean by Favourites are broken? :thinking:

If you are not seeing Favourites, then you can set that up on New Tab Settings (top right corner in New Tab).

I misspoke, I meant right click ‘open in new tab’. And yes, I found the difference between logo and name, so I don’t consider that an issue any more.
