You can click, drag, and rearrange any of your tiles to reorder them. You can click the overflow menu (three dots icon) on the top-sites widget and select Show more items if you’re not seeing the amount of tiles that you’d like to see. Here is the documentation on how to use the new layout:
https://support.brave.app/hc/en-us/articles/360057909891
If for any reason you still want the old outdated layout, you can go to brave://flags, search for New tab page refresh and set the value to Disabled.
Thanks for your reply Mattches, I had the same issue. I think a control such as this one that affects the appearance must be more readily accessible inside the gear menu.
Changes like this are made with future iterations in mind. With the old design, making changes and adding features/options to the NTP widgets was limited. With the new design, functionality has only been added, with the one exception being that they appear in the middle of the screen.
Because of these changes, we can now allow further customization down the line. We want users to use this new design and provide feedback so that we can make future improvements and options.
In case you haven’t seen my Feedback yet @Mattches ![]()
Sorry if you’ve seen it and my reposting it in places is annoying… I appreciate the work you and the Brave peeps do… but I, and obviously like many others, don’t always handle CHANGE well haha
Anyway I also appreciate that you do listen to us (and respect that you are a busy person and group)
Also for those seeing my below post for the first time, I’d encourage you to upvote it at the top of the Topic/post/thread ![]()
O, it is wonderful for you to leave feedback. That is how Brave learns of others desires so i hope we all give them feedback as needed. I will say every little change takes time and money so I know for myself i will put up with changes i may not like at the time because Brave’s privacy mission compared to the big vortex’ers of all our data. Brave is awesome and efforting everyday to improve and with you feedback it helps to shine light on something that may be able to be changed or perhaps not but it is so costly to make changes that it may not be done until enough say this or that about the current state. Go Brave and yea for Oliveiraird1. Keep up the loving comments. we are all just humans and ai trying to hear each other out.
