Description of the issue:

When switching videos to full screen, there’s a white line going across the screen. It’s on YouTube, Hulu, X, and Prime (haven’t tried others). I noticed it one or two days ago. Don’t know if it was happening before then, but can’t imagine it was since it’s distracting.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Go to a video site

  2. Select a video.

  3. Switch to full screen.

Expected result:

A white line appears across the top of the screen throughout the length of the video.

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Brave is up to date

Brave 1.88.127 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Chromium: 146.0.7680.71

Additional Information:

You have to enable the option “Show rounded corners on main content areas”, that seems to be the fix for now. I was facing the same issue and that resolved it. Got the solution from here: A line appears at the top when entering video fullscreen mode

Thank you. That solved it.

“Show rounded corners on main content areas”

This is not a viable solution. It ruins browsing in all cases where you’re not watching a full screen video.

Many users have this issue. Rounded corners looks UGLY while browsing. Is it going to be fixed ? I guess I will switch to Chrome for the time being…. no issues there.

Chill, there’s already an open ticket for this to be fixed. You think they’d intentionally leave a line there as a bug forcing users to use Rounded Corners as a fix? Of course not, don’t be silly.
