@Troli123 I see it shows the components aren’t updating. This suggests to me that you’re experiencing a known issue where the components folder or its contents had its permissions reassigned. This can happen if you launch Brave as an administrator or occasionally in some updates.
There are two primary ways to “fix” it. You pick one, don’t do both.
1. Reassign the permissions again.
This can feel a bit complicated to some people, but it’s the best method in terms of convenience. You can see a guide for this by one of the developers at Brave at Brave doesn't start when I run it as administrator and Brave Shield doesn't work - #41 by clifton

2. Remove Brave entirely and reinstall.
For this you would want to export your bookmarks and passwords, otherwise those will be lost in the process. You will go to uninstall Brave and when Windows gives the prompt asking if you want to delete history, you would say yes. That isn’t actually asking about browsing history but is asking permission to delete all of Brave’s folders.
Once that is done, you would install Brave again and it would be like you just installed it for the first time. You would then import bookmarks and passwords, have to change any settings you want, etc.
Note
Running as administrator can happen in two different places and should not be done. So make sure you don’t have the run this program as an administrator selected and also never do the right click → run as administrator options.
Right click and run as admin:
Right click shortcut → properties → compatibility. There’s a checkbox for it, make sure it’s not selected
