Description of the issue:
There is a significant degradation of font rendering in the most recent release of Brave 1.82.166 on Linux.
The fragment below is rendered by Brave (here is the page address ):
The same fragment rendered by Firefox looks like this:

I can confirm as well that it affects the latest versions of Brave on Linux.
In my case it is Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS with all the recent updates. Brave is version: Brave 1.82.170 (Official Build) (64-bit).
The address bar and menu’s all look horrible. On page text seems mostly alright.
same issues here, need a fix before my brain melts from the horrendous rendering

Has anyone seen any response from the dev team on this issue?

Yes. Unfortunately too many people opened topics rather than searching for existing open topics. Often one of the newer might grab attention first for showing in recent list and replies occur there. Some of the older get lost in the shuffle and/or it just gets annoying to constantly repeat the same answers so there’s a bit of silence.
This is a known issue that the team is working on addressing presently:
Also should reference a week before this topic was opened:
Hi ! Just discovered this so … If you’re using linux, like I do (PopOS 22.04 LTS) then you need to use the gnome tweaks utility and change the font from Fira Sans to something else then restart browser (the downside is that it changes the font of the whole gnome interface … but at least Brave is readable again ) … It seems that there’s a problem with that font rendering in Brave !
Key thing is, it’s being looked into.

### Description
Many Linux (namely Pop_OS users) are seeing fonts render strang… ely after updating to the latest Brave bulid. Fonts appear to be sized incorrectly in some places, blurry, "wiggly", etc.

And from what I can see, it’s upstream and happens on Chrome/Chromium as well.
