Background Play no longer works, something is definitely wrong with Brave on android. Full Screen on YouTube no longer works properly and background play only works once you apply the settings again and relaunch.

I’m sure it’s either Chrome or YouTube constantly moving the goal posts but it’s getting near impossible to get this browser to behave as it once did. It doesn’t update correctly either. I am going to try and remove and install from Brave instead of Google Play (if it’s still possible) but have a bad feeling these amazing features are lost.

(On a clean install of Android 15 - no extensions and no other software installed)

You need to update the app, I had that problem for 10 minutes but after updating it was fixed.

Yes I updated and it seemed to fix, but it’s almost like there is a session timeout or something, but the settings don’t persist. I have to kill the app, go to settings, reapply the setting before it will work. Same for full screen. Thanks anyway!

@exosomal can you confirm your current version? Still having issues or just initially around updating?

@hatta bu bozulmalara chrome çekirdeğimi neden oluyor.? Ben halen güncelleme yapmadım. 1.81.137 orta halli çalışıyor. Apk ya da apks farkeder mi sizce.?

Sayın @hatta güncelleme yapmadım. Sizce güncellemeyi github apk ile mi yoksa play store apks olarak mı yapayım.

Arka plan oynatma testlerinize göre sizde stabil çalışıyor mu. Bende update yapayım.

Brave 1.82.162, Chromium 140.0.7339.80, thanks Steeven. Just updated (manually) to …165, will test!

Google Play just doesn’t seem to work automatically.
