Yesterday, YouTube background playback stopped working. It was my primary browser feature. The same thing happened on Edge Canary and Vivaldi. It doesn’t matter whether I’m signed in or not. Two days ago, it stopped working on Edge Canary, but logging out worked. Now, nothing works.

I tried the Anon Tab and the background sound worked for YouTube. Then I added the code to the filters and now everything works even when I’m logged in. Perfect!

Possible temp fix for users: try loading the desktop site, I know it sucks to use, but background play has been working for me on it. It’s worth a shot if you need yt as a sleep aid or something. Mine is just running normal now. I’ve copied the code that @fanboynz put above, but I tried to test YouTube before installing it, and the background went back to normal ‘-’ I will let the code saved, if the issue appear again, I try to use it.

Not working, iam using old version, in that the background play working fine. I think it’s from brave new update issue. Thanks for the info
