I AM USING BRAVE V1.181.137

I AM NOT ABLE TO DOWNLOAD ANY TORRENT USING WEB TORRENT FUNCTIONALITY. EARLIER I WAS ABLE TO DOWNLOAD ON THE BROWSER ITSELF. NOW WHAT IS HAPPENIG IS WHEN I CLICK THE COPY MAGNETIC LINK IT IS STARTING TO DOWNLOAD THE TORRENT FILE INSTEAD
Expected result: I SHOULD BE ABLE TO DOWNLOAD THE TORRENT ON MY BRAVE BROWSER ITSELF
I would highly advise against downgrading your browser version as older versions do not have the latest privacy/security fixes and can leave you vulnerable while browsing. Additionally, webtorrent is not likely to be re-added to the browser, which means you would forgo any other browser updates, which leads to further instability, bugs and security risks.
There are other torrent extensions available that you can install in the browser and a litany of torrent clients you can install on your machine that offer similar functionality to the webtorrent extension that was removed from Brave (including the webtorrent app itself).
That said, if you’re staunch on this, I believe the last release that had webtorrent was v1.80.125. It and all previous version of the browser can be downloaded from our Github releases page. Link to the version you want is here:
