For some reason I can no longer Download any torrents. When I try to download a magnet torrent it asked me if I want to open ulr. I’ve tried uninstalling Brave resetting it downloaded the beta I’m on that right now. I’ve tried searching the web but all the answers are a few years old and really doesn’t pertain to the newest versions of Brave. I don’t even see torrents anywhere in brave settings. I’m Probably doing something stupid or not seeing it any help would be greatly appreciated.

Saoiray, thanks for the info and responding so quickly. It was a great feature but even without it Brave is a one of the best web browsers.
Saoiray Is there any way to download an older version That has the web torrent in it? I’ve been searching the Internet but I can’t seem to find one. I totally understand that you’re not going to support it anymore but I would like to use an older version for now until I can figure out something else.
@1921PHOTO all versions of Brave are always available on Github. You just have to look to make sure you’re grabbing the right one for your device. You would go through that and choose the version while it still existed.
There’s a catch though:
Brave does not offer a simple way to turn off auto updates. So if your device is capable of running a newer version, it will update itself.
If you want to stop that, you have to do something like create a group policy or modify the registry.
Also keep in mind if you’re sticking to the older version, you’re not going to have all the security patches like the recently patched vulnerabilities that were in Chromium. Not to mention you’d be losing out on any improvements they offer to the browser, such as adblocking capabilities, improved UI, etc by not updating.
