I have a pretty annoying problem. I bought a new Macbook and, of course, first thing I did was to install Brave, set up Sync, and then the Wallet along with Rewards.
However, when I tried to link my self-custody wallet, I get the following error message:
{
"message": "too many wallets linked: unable to add too many wallets to a single user",
"code": 409
}
I think for a given wallet, we should be able to unlink Rewards profiles somewhere, otherwise people will have the same problem as they change computers or phones…
@gurgunday if you submitted a ticket we’ll get back to you asap. If you’d like, you can share the ticket number that was generated when you submitted the ticket initially here with me so I can ensure it get seen by someone today.
I did make a request (#332977), but Support just told me to create another Solana wallet, but when I do that, Brave asks for a transaction fee to link up Rewards. I would really appreciate if we can simply do the wallet unlinking instead so I can just connect using my main Solana account…
Hello @gurgunday - Sorry for any confusion. Wallet unlinking is not available for Solana at this time. You’ll need to connect a new SOL address if you’ve used up your linking slots.
Thanks everyone! I created a new account and bought some SOL, now it’s working!
Just one last question though, if I change my PC tomorrow, would resetting the Rewards profile on the old PC first prevent me from exceeding the maximum link count when I connect the new one?
I’m just trying to prevent this from happening again
