The Brave desktop browser screen (Windows 10), today 06/27/25, is flashing intermittently… and it’s not the page, but the upper part where the Tabs, Address Bar and Favorites Bar are.

Can you please tell me which browser version you’re using when you see this? Additionally:

  1. If you disable Graphics Acceleration (Settings --> System --> Use Graphics Acceleration[...]) does the flashing still occur? Make sure you restart the browser after disabling before you test.
  2. If the above does not resolve the issue, can you please open a Guest profile (Menu --> More tools --> Guest profile), close your original profile window (so that you only have the Guest profile window open), and see if the flashing occurs here as well?
  3. If you have any extensions installed at this time, can you please try disabling them and testing again (I would probably close/relaunch the browser after disabling) to see if one of them may have been the cause of the issue?

Please let me know what you find out. If none of the above solutions work or make any difference, if you can share a short screen recording of the behavior that would be very helpful.

The problem began after this update:

I use some yes extensions that are important to me, but I will try to exclude them to test.

I would love to know the answers to the following:

Hi Mattches, I’d like to thank you for your help.

Graphics Acceleration → Disabled
Guest profile → Created
Extensions → None installed in the new profile

RESULT:
It continues to flash, both in the old profile and in the new profile (empty and with nothing installed).

Hello everyone, I came back here to say that I changed machines and Brave stopped blinking… but what I thought caused the “blinking” also caused other things that I didn’t mention, because I wanted to resolve the main problem URGENTLY, it wasn’t reality, the second annoying problem is that it shows “background operation” marked for faster opening and it is NOT. Two things indicate this: the icon in the systray that no longer appears and the delay in opening after being activated. If anyone knows how to make it really active in the background, please get in touch. Thank you for this and to everyone who has tried to help me so far. God enlighten them.
