Option to turn Hover Delay for Vertical Tabs Auto-Expand on/off

When using Vertical Tabs with “Auto expand on hover” enabled, the tab strip expands immediately as soon as the cursor passes over it.

I’d like to suggest adding an optional, small hover delay (for example 150–300 ms) before the tabs expand.

Reason:
When navigating the page, scrolling, or moving the cursor across the screen, it’s easy to accidentally trigger the tab expansion just by briefly passing over the tab area. A short delay, for those who prefer, would help prevent unintended expansions while still keeping the feature fast and convenient for intentional use.

Proposed behavior:

  • Add an optional setting to enable a short hover delay before vertical tabs auto-expand

  • Users who prefer the current instant behavior could simply leave the option disabled

This would improve usability, especially for users with large screens, fast mouse movement, or frequent scrolling near the left edge.

Thanks for considering, and great work on the vertical tabs feature overall.
