Open specific page on startup is not working

After updated to the latest version (1.91.172), the Open a specific page or set of pages on startup is no longer working, it automatically restores the last opened pages (Continue where you left off option) instead.

When I tried set it to open new tab and set back to specific page, it only opens new tab on startup.

This happened on both Windows and MacOS devices.

I’m having this issue too.

Disable: Continue where you left off option

Clear cache, cookies, site data for all time.

Exit / Quit everything and restart computer.

Since it happens on both Windows and macOS after the same 1.91.172 update, I’d treat it like a possible regression rather than only a local cache problem. Before clearing all cookies/site data, maybe test once with a temporary new Brave profile and set only one startup URL there. If the clean profile also restores the previous session, that is useful evidence for the bug report and avoids wiping your normal browsing state for no gain.

Not seeing this issue on my end on Windows or macOS systems. As @andreanas1811 suggests, I would also first recommend creating and testing the behavior in a new Brave profile and see if it reproduces there.

It fixed for me on Windows. I did a clean uninstall with Geek, reinstall Brave and sync my data back and the issue is gone, it is now openning the correct set of pages that I have configured on start up.

I will try with the profile on MacOS later.
