My Google Calendar keeps logging me out whenever I leave the tab alone,
like it’s a clingy ex who panics if I stop looking at it for 5 minutes
I’ve tried:
• Allowing cookies (I even offered chocolate chip )
• Turning off “clear cookies on exit”
• Disabling memory saver
• Clicking “stay signed in” like it’s a broken elevator button
And yet… it still ghosts me the second I walk away
At this point my calendar has more trust issues than I do.
Please fix this before my schedule and my mental stability both evaporate into the void
Forever desperate for functional tabs,
— A user who just wants to remember when Tuesday is
Thanks for responding. Now I’m using the nightly version, which seems loyal so far,. Btw,. How long will it take to fix the bug or whatever? in the real Brave, like the actual one T_T
@AtoruXD it’s already being released to normal version of the browser. It’s currently rolling out to 50% of users and will be gradually expanding. If you want to see if your browser has the fix, go to brave://version and look for BTMGoogleAuthWorkaroundRelease:Enabled like you see highlighed in blue on my screenshot below
If it says Default instead of Enabled, then you don’t have it yet but it should eventually come to you. They are doing this as a slower rollout in case any other problems come up.
The reason this happened is because Google changed things around. It was happening in other browsers but more frequent in Brave because of how it stops 3rd party cookies. Brave is doing a bit of a workaround to make this work, but in the meanwhile also is trying to get Chromium and Google to make changes upstream.
Thanks for the help; such a caring team. Well, talking of the issue, it’s says “Default” instead of “Enabled” rn. but i can wait till the release reaches me.
