Brave keeps logging me out of Google accounts

Description of the issue: Brave keeps logging me out of all Google accounts (Gmail, Drive, YouTube, etc.). This happens either every time I relaunch the browser or after some time while browsing. The issue has been reported by multiple users on Reddit, Brave Community, and even on Brave’s GitHub since version v1.76.74. I’m on version v1.82.161 and still facing this problem.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Log in to a Google account (e.g., Gmail or YouTube).

  2. Use Brave normally or restart the browser.

  3. After a while or after relaunch, the session expires and you are logged out automatically.

Expected result: Stay logged in to Google accounts until explicitly logged out by the user.

Brave Version( check About Brave): v1.82.161

Additional Information:

  1. Other users have reported the same issue since March (GitHub issue created on March 20 for v1.76.74).
  2. Not related to cookies being cleared on exit (checked settings).
  3. Not related to “Forget me when i close this site.

Long story short, they have been trying to figure this out and are hoping to get solutions for people experiencing the issue soon.
