Leo Ai tools not responding

I select test, right click and use the leo ai tools. used to work but now it just opens leo ai sidebar and pastes the link of webpage and doesnt actually perform its function
how to fix.

pls help

Can you try creating a new Brave profile and see if you can/cannot reproduce the issue?

went on to brave nightly, its the same thing
it should have explained, but it just opens leo sidebar

I have the same problem on the latest desktop Brave version on MacOS 26.6.1. The context window with the Leo AI → Explain command doesn’t paste highlighted text to the side panel of Leo AI. Only the side panel opens. I’ve tried to create a new profile and have the same issue.

I did find a solution where I have to open the Leo side panel FIRST then highlight and use the context window command which successfully pastes the text and runs the Explain command.
