Description of the issue:
I’m using Brave Browser version v1.84.132 (Oct 29, 2025). My browsing history is not being saved when I open the History page, it’s empty but I can still see recent tabs in the hamburger menu.
How can this issue be reproduced?
-
Open Brave Browser (v1.84.132) on my device.
-
Browse several web pages as usual.
-
After browsing, open the “History” section or press Ctrl+H the History list is empty despite having visited pages. Meanwhile, open the hamburger menu → Recent Tabs; the recent tabs list is populated.
Expected result:
I expect the History list to display the pages I visited during the session (and any previous sessions, depending on my settings), so I can revisit them later.
Brave Version (check About Brave):
v1.84.132 (Release channel) build date Oct 29, 2025.
Device details:
-
OS: Windows 11
-
I did not manually clear history after browsing.
-
I have checked that I am not in a “Private Window” mode.
-
I did not recently change any major privacy or history settings.
-
I confirm the browser shows recent tabs in the menu, which suggests the browser is tracking session activity but not recording it in the normal History.
-
I have searched the forums and found similar issues (for example, users reporting empty history or history not retained) but did not find a case exactly matching v1.84.132.
