I’ve noticed that there’s an empty space at the bottom of the screen when using Brave on my Galaxy S24 Ultra. It’s just blank, like the webpage doesn’t extend all the way down.
I don’t see this issue in other browsers or apps, so it seems to be specific to Brave. I’ve looked through the settings but couldn’t find any option to disable or adjust it.
Is this a known issue or is there some workaround I’m missing?
Thanks!
How can this issue be reproduced?
Open Brave on Android
Issue is visible on all pages
Expected result:
There should be no blank space at the bottom of the screen
Brave Version( check About Brave): Brave 1.83.112, Chromium 141.0.7390.70
Mobile Device details: S25 Ultra OneUI 8
Additional Information: this also happens in landscape, for example when watching YouTube, there’s a large gray bar at the bottom of the screen.
With it happening on Chrome and other Chromium browsers, plus with it only seeming to be devices using One UI 8 (Samsung), I’m guessing it’s going to need to be fixed by one or both of those. But at least it’s a known thing and should be getting looked into.
I use XOS Infinix, I think it’s a Chromium issue, I use Edge Beta, Brave and Chrome. Edge, being beta, was the first to show the bug, later others adopted after update. Now Edge Beta seems to have been fixed (and I assume it’s chromium in general) so others might be fixed soon
