DRM Content no longer playable

@DazzerJ97 I figured. In the past, especially recent past, have you chosen to Run as administrator when launching Brave? The issue you’re having is one that tends to happen when people do that, but it can just randomly happen in updates as well.

To put it simply, most likely the permissions for folders got changed. So Brave is being opened as a “normal” permissions and the folders with components is under “admin.” And the headache is that opening as admin isn’t a solution but instead worsens things.

You have two options overall.

  1. You can follow instructions as said at Brave doesn't start when I run it as administrator and Brave Shield doesn't work - #41 by clifton to reassign permissions of the folders again.

or

  1. If the above is too complicated, export your bookmarks & passwords (or sync to other device) so you don’t lose them, and completely uninstall Brave. If you use this method, you’ll have to check the box like below when you uninstall. It purges all folders, so it would be like you never had Brave installed in the first place, which is why I said to backup/sync any important information like passwords or bookmarks. Then you’d install Brave again and can import the data again (or add to the sync chain) so you haven’t lost all of that.

Obviously the first option is better, but some people find the second method easier and/or less confusing.
