I would like to suggest Brave has the option to add exceptions to clear cookies when the option On-exit is activated.
I surf too much on the web, then saved many websites information, cookies and other data. MS Edge has the option to add those cookies in a exception list, when all those cookies, except on that list were cleaned, resulting in a better navigation experience.
The following problem developed, in older versions of Brave Browser, and the feature was removed:
There was a “too complicated” series of steps, for editing (removing) some of the sites - depending upon what the user had set for Brave Shields per site. Something like that; I no longer recall the details exactly.
Another member of this Brave Community, @Saoiray, might remember.

I could not find this option on version 1.87.139, however I noted your instruction and I will try to apply if this adjust works to me.
