Brave makes my main monitor flash black for a second when manipulating a window

Description of the issue: Every time I drag a window to my main monitor the entire screen flashes black for 1-2 seconds as if the display lost signal. I was thinking driver or power save setting issue but it only happens with Brave. This does not happen when the window is on the secondary monitor. Secondary monitor is on the iGPU on the processor, main monitor on the RTX 3070. Can’t reproduce with other programs, including chrome. This only started after restarting this morning but I think I had already updated to latest before today.
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Drag window from secondary display to main

  2. Minimize/maximize window

  3. Scroll a page

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Brave 1.86.148 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Chromium: 144.0.7559.133

Windows 11

Can you try disabling Graphics Acceleration and then test and see if this resolves the issue (Settings --> System --> Graphics Acceleration)?

Solved, thank you! Was it drawing a bunch of power from the GPU or something?

It happens me too. flash when brave works in background but i dont know why it happens for brave or for other programs?

you mean this?

@kasalotahmet I’m referring to Graphics Acceleration setting in the browser. Open Brave, then go to Settings --> System --> Graphics Acceleration
