I’m experiencing a consistent crash in the Brave browser on desktop when interacting with the Tab Search feature.
When I click the down arrow button located on the far right of the tab bar (which normally opens the “Tab Search” panel), the browser immediately closes without any warning or error message. This behavior occurs every time I click the button, making the feature unusable.
Steps to reproduce:
Open Brave browser (desktop version)
Navigate to the tab bar
Click the down arrow icon (Tab Search button) on the far right
Expected behavior:
Actual behavior:
Brave Version: Brave 1.89.132 (Official Compilation) (64 bit)
Chromium: 147.0.7727.56
Additional notes:
The issue is 100% reproducible
No visible error message is shown
The browser closes abruptly as if it crashed

- The chevron next to the minimize button in the screenshot should not be appearing, the updated UI should not include it. Several users are reporting that it is in the UI, and when clicking on it it is causing the browser to crash. Team is investigating how these users have it enabled.
