Description of the issue:
I have three machines with the same setup (extensions, configurations, etc) on MacOS, Windows 11, and Arch Linux. On YouTube, each browser logged in as the same account is capable of playing videos with shields up, except for the MacOS version. MacOS Brave can no longer run videos shields up or down.
On MacOS I tried clearing cookies, running a private window, creating a new browser profile, all without luck.
Exact URL of the website in question:
Did the issue present with default Shields settings? (yes/no) Both
Does the site function as expected when Shields are turned off? No
Brave version (check About Brave): 1.88.134
If you logout of Youtube do you see an improved experience? Usually, issues like these are caused by cookies or extensions.
Do you have any errors at brave://components?
Please check again to see if it works in a Private Window. If it works in a Private Window, please try the following in your regular browsing profile.

Disabling any related third party extensions (brave://extensions/)

Clearing cookies/browsing history (brave://settings/clearBrowserData)

Updating adblock filters (brave://settings/shields/filters)
A few days ago youtube had issues, is it still happening @ironic.keyboard ?
I tried logging out, then clearing cookies. Problem persisted, even in a private window with no extensions active.
I did not try clearing the cache. As of today things seem to be working again, but I’ll try that if the problem reoccurs.
Thanks for the additional tips @Evan123, I’ll give those a go next time.
@fanboynz could be possible, but while youtube was not functional on the mac, it was working on the PC at the same time.
