Youtube Adblocker not working with Brave shield

When I am using any external extensions I started facing issues with Youtube video playback. So after researching a bit I found out that brave shield is capable of doing all this stuff. So I quickly uninstalled all extensions just to realize that youtube is blocking the video plays and says Ad blockers violate YouTube’s Terms of Service.

Now the moment I disable brave shield, it starts working fine, ad starts popping on youtube again but no more ad blocker violation text on screen. Now I tried reinstalling the extensions and without extensions multiple times but nothing seems to work. here is the screenshot of how it looks like with and without shield.

I am currently using Windows 10 with latest brave version. Screenshot attached below as well.

I have tried all the strategies provided for adblocking. Aggressive and normal in the shield settings but it doesnt work at all. It started happening from the past 3-4 days and issue still persists. I have update brave components even though they were updated. I checked just to make sure but still no results.

In incognito, it works completely fine. But in the normal browser, nothing seems to work.

In incognito, brave shield doesnt stop video playback or show any error. It works like a charm. but normal browsing isnt supporting it.

Can anyone please help me on this?

What other addons you do use? Keep in mind that any addon, especially the “privacy” focused ones can interfere with YouTube’s anti-adblock detection.

I have currently Dark Reader for forcing all web pages to be dark and a leetcode extension. No other blockers/extensions except brave shield and it doesnt seem to work at all in my situation.

Try turning it off and see if you still get detected

Now what is happening is no adblock popup is coming on youtube with brave shield on but video is stuck at loader infinitely until I copy paste url of that video in another tab and try to run it. That might be when ads are trying to load in. And when it does, video playback doesnt happen. If I refresh, if there is no ad that time, it would load, or else it would be stuck at loader again and I have to copy the url and put in another new tab.
