Description of the issue:
- YouTube videos do not display properly on certain monitors when using Brave. (multi-monitor support)
- I did not have this issue before my last update.
When trying with Shields down, the ad before the video behaves the same way.
If I open the settings menu (gear icon) and then playback speed. the video displays as long as the menu is open. - holding the mouse over the timeline display properly displays the thumbnail frame for that moment.
- This issue does not occur in other browsers like Chrome or Edge.
How can this issue be reproduced?
-
Launch Brave
-
Navigate to YouTube
-
stream a video
-
Move the Brave Window playing the video (or paused) to a different monitor screen.
Expected result:
Video should continue to play normally
Actual Result (see screenshots):
After I open the YouTube video on my Auria EQ278C monitor the video plays properly. when I move (at least 50% of) the brave browser window to my Asus XG32AQ or Asus XG32VC monitor the video image turns white. I do see “watermark link icons” in the video but not the video image itself. the audio plays normally.
Reproduces Consistently?
Yes. Since last brave update.
