Description of the issue:
I have 2 144Hz monitor (1080p and 1440p). Whenever I play 2 video (twitch, youtube, reddit, or any player really) visible on 2 tabs, one on each monitor. Both video completely freeze (I still get sound from 1 tab but not both). If I switch one of the tab to hide the video, it starts playing back normally immediately.
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
- Open 2 tabs
- One on each monitor
- Play any video on both (youtube, twitch)
Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
Videos freezes up and sound stop playing aswell on one of the tab
Expected result:
Both video keep playing without issue
Reproduces how often:
100% of the time.
Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
Brave is up to date
Brave 1.82.165 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Chromium: 140.0.7339.80
Additional Information:
Disabling hardware acceleration '“fix” the issue as in I no longer have it but I have other screen tearing / playback issue, albeit not as brutal as the freeze
Switching to the OpenGL renderer in the advanced settings also fixes it with the same screen tearing issue.
I dont have the issue on other chromium based browser (edge or chrome). If I have one monitor with Chrome/Firefox/Edge and the Other with Brave, I don’t have the issue either.
It only freezes when it’s 2 Brave tabs on the 2 monitors.
