Youtube stops playing after a few hrs

Description of the issue: I use yourube to fall asleep. Around 6:00-6:30am the videos stop playing and a playback ID error pops up.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. It can’t as far as I know but it happens every night

Expected result: for the videos not to stop and I can continue sleeping.

Brave Version( check About Brave):Brave 1.85.116, Chromium 143.0.7499.110

Mobile Device details: Android 16; Build/BP2A.250605.031.A3

Additional Information: samsung Galaxy s25.

I have a couple screenshots of what pops up but the playback IDs are different.

This is a hard one to test as it would take hours to do so – these type of playback errors typically mean that something is “blocking” the video from playing. Looking online, I see other users who have encountered this are typically using an ad-blocker (although most reports are for issues in the desktop browser).

Let me ask @fanboynz to take a look here.

Does it play in Chrome?

I haven’t tried it in Chrome.

Im using Brave because it blocks ads.

These vids play for about 6 hours then I get the playback ID issue.

I’m just checking to see if it works in Chrome also, whether its a Brave specific fault or not

I have chrome but when I close the phone vids don’t play in the background.

I also don’t have ad blocking on chrome.

Just wanted to give an update. Apparently Device Care or whatever was turning Brave off or putting it to sleep. Changed the setting and it hasn’t paused the last couple of nights :crossed_fingers:
