Will you have a fix for YouTube's "experiencing interruptions? Find out why" nonsense at some point in the future?

I want to be able to watch videos without the intentional 10 second delay. It doesn’t happen on all videos strangely enough, and the video is still able to play, but it’s very intrusive and infuriating, and I really hope you can find a way to fix it at some point. But I’m very proud of your work so far, and I have total confidence in you that you can fix it.

Add this to your custom filters in Shields.

I did that to permanently nullify that notification.

Thank you very much for that!

Unfortunately, Youtube is still delaying the video, but at least that stupid notification is gone. I hope this delay goes away entirely.

The videos will always be delayed, that we can’t control. That’s seemingly on YouTube’s end, but I have found some ways to mitigate it, but not eliminate it.

Under Site Settings for YouTube, look for an AutoPlay option. Block AutoPlay. Now, this will break playlists if you have them as it’ll pause every video, but what I’ve notices is:
If you open a video, wait for all of the elements to load but don’t click play, once everything loads, and then you click play, it usually won’t hesitate.

Basically that delay is entirely artificial, and I’d go as far as say, illegal potentially under misleading methods to sell Premium.

See, this is what’s really going on with those delays. That notification we blocked, always went to Internet troubleshooting, and ONLY Internet troubleshooting. You’ll find now with adblockers and that “fake” delay, suddenly that notification goes to a page about adblockers. They abused the notification system to trick people into paying for Premium thinking the delay was the adblocker itself. Except no, the delay is tied to something else. I can’t figure it out, but the video is buffered, in fact I Wiresharked this.

What I found was, when it is delaying with a black screen, the buffer spinner, and saying “Troubles?”, that whole time it already downloaded an 8 second buffer, it HAS it in RAM, it simply won’t play.

Brave is very much welcome to check that if they know Wireshark, watch, the video is buffering that entire time, it’s so egregious that honestly I’m waiting for someone to find a way to go after YouTube for it, considering the US government recommends the use of adblockers anyway for safety reasons. (The reason we use Brave, literally, lol).

What Youtube is doing is absolutely scumbag behavior.

Try:

That’s literally the same filter I gave them above, it does not in fact remove the delay, it will still happen random..

Please double if not, triple check what you’re posting is not a repeat of something that’s already been done and recommended.
