Description of the issue:
When vertical tabs are enabled, white bars appear around the entire screen when entering fullscreen mode on YouTube (and likely other video sites). The bars appear on all four sides of the screen, not just the top. Disabling vertical tabs completely fixes the issue.
Steps to Reproduce:
Enable vertical tabs in brave://settings/appearance
Open any YouTube video
Click the fullscreen button
Actual Result:
White bars appear around the entire screen. The video does not fill the display properly.
Expected result:
The video fills the entire screen with no bars.
Reproduces how often:
Every time vertical tabs are enabled.
Operating System and Brave Version:
macOS Tahoe 26.2, Brave v1.88.134
Additional Information:
This is different from the bug reported at A thin white line appears at the top of fullscreen videos where only a thin line appears at the top. In my case, bars appear on all four sides of the screen. No notch display. The issue is 100% reproducible and immediately goes away when vertical tabs are disabled.
