Whenever I use the pause shortcut on my keyboard, the video pauses and immediately starts playing again

Description of the issue:
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. I have a wooting 60HE V2 keyboard

  2. Play a video on YouTube and alt + tab back to a game or any window that isn’t Brave

  3. fn + k to pause the video

Expected result: The video pauses, but immediately resumes again without hitting the shortcut twice

Brave Version( check About Brave): 1.90.121

Additional Information: It works perfectly fine if I first click on the Brave window, and then try the shortcut, but that defeats the purpose of using the shortcut altogether, since I have to tab over first. I’ve tried seeing if it’s the keyboard, and it is not. It works fine on other browsers, just not here…

Oh sorry, I tried searching pause shortcut and didn’t find what I was looking for. So basically just disable shields and try ublock instead of the built in shield?

No – the workaround they are suggesting is to go to brave://adblock and disable the Experimental ad block filter:
