Hello Brave Team,
I’m unable to connect my Brave Rewards profile to my Brave Wallet (Solana).
The connection process goes almost to the end:
- I created a new Solana account in Brave Wallet.
- I sent SOL from Coinbase to the wallet.
- The associated token account was created successfully.
- I started the Brave Rewards connection.
- I accepted the privacy notice.
- Brave Wallet requested my signature.
- I signed the message successfully.
Immediately after signing, Brave displays:
“Something went wrong.
There was an unexpected error and we weren’t able to finalize the connection. Please try again.”
Additional information:
• Rewards profile is VALID (checked in brave://rewards-internals).
• Rewards State on Windows remains “Not connected”.
• The problem occurs every time on Windows.
• The same error also occurs on Android.
• On Linux, the wallet connection completed successfully and Brave Rewards displayed the next BAT payout date.
• My Rewards profile was originally created in 2021.
• The Solana wallet is working correctly.
• SOL is present in the wallet.
• The associated token account was created successfully
Operating System:
Windows 11 Version 25H2 (Build 26200.8655)
Brave:
Version 1.92.139
Chromium 150.0.7871.114 (64-bit)
Region:
Luxembourg
I have already spent several days troubleshooting this issue. Since the connection works on Linux but fails on Windows and Android, it appears to be platform-specific rather than a wallet setup issue.
The same Brave Rewards profile has existed since 2021. I no longer remember whether it was previously connected to Uphold or Gemini. This old Rewards profile might still contain outdated server-side information.
Could you please help determine why the Rewards profile cannot be connected?
I have screenshots showing the error on Windows and a successful connection on Linux. As a new Community member I am currently not allowed to upload attachments. I can provide them as soon as my account is permitted to upload images.
Thank you very much.
