idk how to reproduced because the problem occur randomly, simply uBO sometimes didn’t show in context menu and brave need to be relaunch to fix it. is this uBO issue with chromium or brave itself or either? i hope they can fix it

Not sure if this is on the uBO side or the Brave side. I will ask a few devs to look into this. In the meantime, if you could test this in another browser (Edge would be great) that would be very helpful for us. I know you said it’s random so may be hard to repro but give it a shot and see if it occurs in other Chromium-based browsers.
well i can’t do that cuz this pc only have brave browser (yep i nuked my edge) and i don’t want to install other browser. beside that, i don’t really use either brave block element and uBO block element. so that (bug?) didn’t really make problem for me. i just want to report that (bug?) so y’all can know about that.
Maybe a re-install? try removing and re-install uBO. Backup any custom rules before hand
already tried to removed violentmonkey extension (i have userscript for discord only purpose), i think it worked but not sure since the bug occur randomly. it might be conflict with violentmonkey or other userscripts extensions? idk either
well it wasn’t cuz userscripts extensions, also already tried to reinstall uBO and still same.
Not much we can do, we don’t develop the extensions. Would take it up in r/uBlockOrigin
@Davidhench instead of closing the browser, does just refreshing the site make a difference? So far I noticed in the videos you’ve shared that you just had the sites preloaded and never navigated to a new site or refreshed, so trying to use that as a potential thought/clue. Yes, I know on the new video you switched tabs, but again…all preloaded.
Also, is this primarily happening after you have been using other apps or something? Or does it happen even while actively using Brave? Part of me is wondering if it’s kind of “sleeping” after not being in use and it’s just needing to be woken up, so to speak.
Speaking of, what do you have for these two? Both of which are at brave://settings/system

1.For both brave and google translate, its new tab but i already opened first just to check if it dissapear too then i recorded it. I’ll record for opening new tab for next time if the problem come back.
2.it happened either with only brave app running or with other app/game

I guess big question on that is if you’re doing private window? And do you have it set for uBlock Origin to work in private?
I know those are from years ago so one would think maybe fixed, but since the Github was still open thought it was worth showing.
Oh yeah i allowed uBO to ran in private window but i didnt test it yet
@Davidhench yeah, so if it’s the same glitch, they are saying opening in private window and using the context menu there was enough to make it disappear on the normal window. (if I’m reading it properly).
So that may be the issue. If so, just is a glitch they have to figure out and change. But at least it let you know the cause. Then I guess from there is just having to turn uBlock Origin off and back on again, or something like that.

i can finally reproduced the problem, first install uBO then allow to run in private window.
when opening brave without opening private it normal but once you opened private window and then close it, the uBO will disappear in context menu and brave need to be relaunch to fix it.
i’ll make report to their subreddit for this.
