Additional Information: i tried all of the basic fix on the brave browser like “Toggle Tor settings”, “Check network admin settings” and nothing seems to work
Create and use AN ADDITIONAL Brave Browser user Profile (Menu --> More tools --> Add profile) - only ← meaning: Do not have any other Brave Browser user Profile tabs/windows open.
When creating this new Brave Browser user Profile for test purposes
Do not import anything.
Do not add any extensions.
Do not allow/enable any Brave Browser “bells and whistles” such as Brave Rewards, Brave Talk, etc.
IF this test Brave Browser user Profile does not present your problem, then possibly, the profile that you have been using, has a problem . . . and that might be caused by one or more extensions, or too many tabs ← complex/conundrum.
Detailed info about testing - IF, in regard to memory and performance issues:
I use NetLimiter in order to monitor network connections. You might test that - see what connections (IP addresses) may be frustrated.

Hello, 289wk Thank you for responding to my post. I tried making a new user profile for testing, removing all of my extensions, and restarting my computer, but it didn’t work; the status stays disconnected.
However, when I connected using the Tor browser, it worked and connection successfully. I even used the Tor browser to find my IP address, and it indicated a different place that wasn’t mine.
I didn’t try Netlimiter, though, because I assume the outcome is the same as what I said above.
In a Brave Browser New Window (not a new Tab), go to: brave://tor-internals/ ← there should be a Logs tab and a Tor Control Events tab. Pick one.
Keep that brave://tor-internals/window open and move it where you can see it, while a New Private Window with Tor will be opened … as follows:
Use the keyboard shortcut (3 keys): Alt + Shift + N in order to open a New Private Window with Tor. (Mac users: Option + Command + N)
As the New Private Window with Tor attempts something, you should see some activity in the brave://tor-internals/window for Logs and for Tor Control Events ← whichever of the brave://tor-internals/Logs or Tor Control Events ← tab you choose.
USING ONLY KEYBOARD COMMANDS: Reload the New Private Window with Tor, at will … testing.
Copy what you see and post, here; for each brave://tor-internals/Logs or Tor Control Events tab.
USE WINDOWS - NOT TABS.
CLARIFICATION: THE brave://tor-internals/WINDOW HAS 2 FRAME TABS:
(As I read it, it’s not even making the attempt whatsoever.)
From what I heard, Tor on Brave, and the Tor Browser, do not connect to the same relays, so that may be one thing to consider.
I don’t know what region you’re in, but with everything changing lately, perhaps Brave’s Tor relay has become blocked? If so you could try this:
(Found under brave://settings/privacy)
PS: You don’t need to censor your OS build number or feature experience pack version, none of that is unique, but rather useful for troubleshooting. Below is from my machine, and the only thing blurred, is truly the only thing you actually should blur, everything else is rather important to know about your Windows installation.
A long time ago, in a galaxy… well it was this galaxy. There waa a vulnerability pointed out with Tor in Brave, and this may have actually been the solution so one cannot actually expose one’s machine. This is going to.piss you off and that makes two of us, but I cannot remember right this second how I solved this, but it involves private/not private. I think you have to not allow certain things in private mode. I’ll thimk of it lemme sleep on it. Im 100% positive btw, so if you search that vulnerability you might end up figuring it out, thats how it clicked for me the last time, lol.
@289wk
i tried this and nothing pop up in the “brave://tor-internals/” i check both in “Logs” tab and “Tor control events” tab and there was nothing appearing i refreshed the “New Private Window With Tor” by clicking on the refresh button on top left 3 times on both “Logs” tab and “Tor Control Events” tab
I appreciate you pointing out that I blacked out vital information since I didn’t know which was important to me, so I just hidden anything that seemed important.
Try using the pulldown menu and selecting a different bridge. You can also try with it off, but if it were already on, are you in a region normally blocked?
Based on what you said it sounds like it was already enabled.
@289wk
oh i might have gotten something wrong here I opened a new window of brave browser by going to the menu and clicking on new window and then openingbrave://tor-internals/
