Sites desmontados no Brave

Description of the issue:

Acontece que tenho tido muitos problemas com diversos sites e isso não acontecia antes - problemas que não aparecem no navegador Safari, por exemplo.

No Brave, muitas vezes não consigo navegar, pois além dos sites aparecerem desorganizados, não consigo rolar a tela ou não consigo clicar nos botões de ação.

Alguns sites nem chegam a carregar completamente ou demoram demais e parecem incompletos.

Outros sites parecem funcionar perfeitamente, porém.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary):

  1. basta acessar algum site que apresente o problema.

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):

Expected result:

Reproduces how often: Acontece em alguns sites, e quando acontece, é sempre que tento acessá-los.

Operating System and Brave Version: Brave versão 1.80.115 no MacBook Pro, OS Sequoia 15.5 (tudo atualizado).

Additional Information:

Já fiz alguns procedimentos que não tiveram efeito:

  1. atualizar o navegador
  2. desativar extensões
  3. limpar cache e cookies

Só não reinstalei o Brave ainda, pois não sei como fazer para não perder minhas preferências e configurações.

Please review your Brave Browser DNS settings - using as a reference (my settings):

Notice that I have set Select DNS provider to OS default (when available)

Also, the DNS settings for your Windows OS computer. Windows OS DNS settings guides:

Thank you for your help. I tried your DNS settings, but it did not work. I wasn’t able to try the Windows configurations, though.

Given the guidance - the links - on how to adjust DNS server info in Windows OS settings . . . the general idea, is to manually set DNS server numbers. Trying “free” / “alternative” numbers, for example:

https://www.lifewire.com/free-and-public-dns-servers-2626062

The manually set DNS numbers, would be used by Brave Browser ("OS default ( when available )).

When visiting some websites, an Internet browser might encounter problems with some sources of data that the browser needs for rendering a complete webpage. A variety of messages might display with some indication (accurate, or not) regarding whatever is the cause of failure to render.

Sometimes there is no message re a cause for failing. Anyway, now days, there are abundant sources of data - sources known as CDNs (Content Delivery Networks); and, a failure to render can be caused by one of those CDN sources being unreliable - “unreachable” - because of the routes to and from the source ← affected by DNS servers (or other networking issues).

For one user of an Internet browser, located at some geographic spot on the globe - a reliable route; but for another user of the same Internet browser, located at another geographic spot on the globe - a troubled route.

Sometimes - if using a VPN - changing between a VPN service’s available servers, can solve that. Sometimes changing DNS servers, can solve that.

Try some of the following, in order to test if DNS changes help:

Google Public:
Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8
Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4

OpenDNS
Primary DNS: 208.67.222.222
Secondary DNS: 208.67.220.220

Cloudflare:
Primary DNS: 1.1.1.1
Secondary DNS: 1.0.0.1

AdGuard:
Primary DNS: 94.140.14.14
Secondary DNS: 94.140.15.15

Alternate DNS:
Primary DNS: 76.76.19.19
Secondary DNS: 76.223.122.150

Comodo Secure:
Primary DNS: 8.26.56.26
Secondary DNS: 8.20.247.20

Your screenshot, following, indicates that some JavaScript source is probably blocked somehow:

Please visit the website: ‘https://www.usaflex.com.br/’ and select the tune icon that is located just outside the left end of the URL address field - near the https:

tune_icon

Select Site settings:

At the resulting Brave Browser settings window:

‘brave://settings/content/siteDetails?site=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.usaflex.com.br’

. . . scroll down to JavaScript and set that to Allow

JavaScript_Allow

You may be prompted to Reload the ‘https://www.usaflex.com.br/’ webpage:

In a Brave Browser New Window, go to:

‘brave://settings/content/siteDetails?site=https%3A%2F%2Fusaflex.com.br’

. . . and there, also scroll down to JavaScript and set to Allow.

Notice that the brave://settings/content/siteDetails?site=https%3A%2F%2F portion of both the Site Details links, are a constant, a fixture if you will . . . followed by a hostname:

  • usaflex.com.br
  • www.usaflex.com.br

Thus, you might use the constant / fixture portion, with another hostname, in order to set JavaScript to Allow - at other websites. Or, use the tune icon > Site settings routine.

Tips regarding Brave Shields:

I have more success, with:

  • Brave Shields UP
  • Either Allow All Cookies or Block 3rd Party Cookies, but NOT Blocking All Cookies
  • Allowing JavaScripts from specific sources, but NOT Allowing All JavaScripts
  • Trackers & Ads treatment: Aggressive (at first), and then incrementally relaxing that setting
  • Fingerprinting (aka footprinting) blocking: Strict (at first), and then incrementally relaxing that setting

I almost NEVER use:

  • All of Brave Shields UP
  • All of Brave Shields DOWN
