Scroll bar appears in fullscreen mode on YouTube (Brave browser)

Hi, I’ve been experiencing an issue with Brave when watching YouTube videos in fullscreen mode. A horizontal scroll bar appears at the bottom of the screen, even though it shouldn’t be visible in fullscreen.

I’ve tried the following steps:

  • Enabled the Overlay Scrollbars flag in brave://flags – this partially worked, but the scrollbar still reappears intermittently.

  • Ensured the zoom level is 100%.

  • Used both the YouTube fullscreen button and F11.

  • Disabled extensions that could affect the layout.

The scrollbar is distracting and breaks the fullscreen experience. It doesn’t happen in other browsers like Chrome or Firefox, only Brave.

Is there any permanent fix or setting to completely hide scrollbars while in fullscreen on YouTube?
