Mac fullscreen is nearly unusable since this change

Mac navigation buttons (close, window size, minimize) hide when entering fullscreen since an update several months ago. A mouseover near any location along the tabs brings them back up, but it prevents tab selection. On the image to the right, the tabs are not visible due to the bar being down.

This has been discussed in a post here: Fullscreen Mode Issues on MacOS , but was never resolved because it was decided that Brave was just following native Chromium Behavior.

Chrome has since been fixed to avoid this annoying behavior as seen below:

There was previously a workaround (it no longer words), but it seems silly that this has not been change to reflect Chrome’s elegant solution. To me and others at my work, using Brave in fullscreen is no longer an option because of how disruptive this behavior is to tab visibility and selection.

I use brave sometimes 13hrs a day, and would greatly appreciate it if this behavior changed. I don’t understand how this hasnt been discussed in the community yet, but I believe that it is an issue that will improve workflows for many.

If you and the user you mentioned in a post (e.g. @actualakshay & friends) want support on something you think is a bug… which from what you shared, it sounds like a bug… I would maybe encourage you to change your category to Browser Support > Desktop Support and add the tag bug to your original post (by editing it, which I see you already have)…

If you guys just ask for a Brave Feature Requests and/or give Feedback , that from my understanding (and I could certainly be wrong) is less of a priority for the few Brave Employees that tend to this forum, than fixing bugs…

So you MIGHT get more attention if you change things up a bit and instead point out that there’s an issue with Brave that needs fixing.

Anyway, Good luck!
(I personally don’t use Fullscreen mode so it’s irrelevant to me but I can see for those who do, it would be very helpful to have fixed).
