Everything was working fine yesterday, 6/24. Went online today, 6/25, and found myself logged out of everything and my passwords gone in Password Manager.
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
I can’t reproduce this and hope it never happens again.
Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
Expected result: I would like my passwords recovered.
Reproduces how often:
Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu): 1.91.178 (Official Build) (64 bit)
Also keep an eye on the Related issues at the bottom of the Brave Community page(s). Because some Brave Community members occasionally stumble onto a fix that worked for them.

While I prefer to not be in the Brave dev/software/support doghouses … I believe that the present moment, is when I should say:
I would not trust the Brave Browser Password Manager with more than a handful of username-and-password combinations ← that especially a Brave Browser (Windows) user can easily restore.
I use a third-party Password Wallet (we used to call them) and have since around 2005. In addition, I maintain a manual, very-well-encrypted backup of a text file. Meaning overall: REDUNDANCY MATTERS.
Before trying anything destructive, I would first make a copy of the whole Brave User Data folder and then check whether Brave opened a different/empty profile. On Windows that is usually under AppData\Local\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\User Data, with folders like Default, Profile 1, etc. If the passwords are still in another profile folder, switching back to it is safer than importing/resetting things. If Sync was enabled, I would also avoid resetting the sync chain until the local profile folders are backed up.
Thank you all for your help and suggestions. I’m still “old school”, so I found my paper with a good portion of my log-in information and passwords written down on it. That list is now updated and put on my computer as well.
I had also taken the suggestion to check for different profiles. Although I thought I had checked all three that were in my browser, I apparently had missed one. When I re-checked again last night, the one I missed was the one that contained all my passwords, thank God!
Lesson learned - I will always have multiple ways of keeping track of my log-ins and passwords. Thank you again for all your help!!
