It has been observed that while I pay a monthly subscription for “Premium,” when preparing important documents that require consistency in information, I encounter the following problem.
The automatic ΑΙ system responds with fragmented text, stops every few moments, and I have to keep writing to get it to write a little more text, and then it stops again and again.
At some point, it displays the below message and stops.
“ There is a network problem with connection with Leo. Verify your connection and try again”
At that point, I cannot continue, and so the consistency of the information uploaded to the system is destroyed, with the result that the task cannot be completed successfully.
The next day, if I try to start again in a new conversation, there is no coherence and I have to start all over again, and the knowledge that was painstakingly built up the previous day disappears.
What can I do to keep the system running without losing the conversation and without interruptions due to a supposed loss of connection?
I have sent already a claim but no response yet.
Why I did not know of maximum length, if that is the problem, of the conversation before becoming a Premium member?
And you experience delayed / intermittent activity on the part of Leo AI, including a message:
“There is a network problem with connection with Leo. Verify your connection and try again”
and therefore you have to keep poking Leo AI to perform.
Brave Support is likely to have questions for you, re the network connection issue. I would have the same or similar questions for them, if I were paying for Premium Brave service.
Also, the following Brave Community (“BC”) search results, may interest (hint re who you might contact, here at the BC, a member of Brave Support who handles many issues):
I am have the same problem. Up until December 26, Leo has worked fine. Now, I get the “There is a network problem with connection with Leo. Verify your connection and try again” prompt and the conversion limit kicks in even after a brief conversation. I have tired shutting down mu VPN, Little Snitch, etc., called my internet provider, checked my memory pressure. My laptop is an Apple Air M4 16mb ram.
I noticed there was a Brave update. If this is the cause, Leo has gone from a useful feature to totally useless. Such a shame.

The technology behind Brave and other AI-powered tools is a combination of hardware, libraries and ecosystem software that’s optimized for the unique needs of AI.
NVIDIA GPUs power the world’s AI, whether running in the data center or on a local PC. They contain Tensor Cores, which are specifically designed to accelerate AI applications like Leo AI through massively parallel number crunching - rapidly processing the huge number of calculations needed for AI simultaneously, rather than doing them one at a time.
The first layer [of software] is the AI inference library, which acts like a translator that takes requests for common AI tasks and converts them to specific instructions for the hardware to run. Popular inference libraries include NVIDIA TensorRT, Microsoft’s DirectML and the one used by Brave and Leo AI via Ollama, called llama.cpp.
For simple instructions on how to add local LLM support via Ollama, read the company’s blog. Once configured to point to Ollama, Leo AI will use the locally hosted LLM for prompts and queries. Users can also switch between cloud and local models at any time.
Thanks for letting us know - we have noticed Leo hanging every now and again but have struggled to recreate it consistently so it’s hard to pin down whether it’s on the browser side or the backend side. Is there any more info you can share on how/when it happens? Have you noticed any patterns? Things like
When you use a specific model
When a search is activated
When page context is attached
After a certain number of turns in the conversation
At a particular time of day?
We’re trying to isolate the issue so any more info you can give would go a long way to helping us solve it
