How to add funds to Brave connected Solana account

All of a sudden, we are locked out of our existing Brave “Rewards” account with NO PRIOR FOREWARNING. Way to go, Brave!

To continue receiving rewards, we must set up a Solana account. Fine.

But then, it cannot be done unless you already have funds in the Solana account to prepay the transaction fee. I have no idea how to do that. There is absolutely no instruction anywhere that explains how to do that. Everything is in crypto-speak, assuming you already know how to do it in order to be able to learn how to do it. Brave has ZERO help or customer support. And the only thing that looked like a path forward that I could find required scanning a QR code, which is not possible using a desktop computer as far as I know.

So are we totally now locked out of Brave “Rewards” or are there actually plain English instructions as to how to set up “Rewards” under the new system?
