Error occurs when attempting to connect brave wallet to rewards

Briefly describe your issue: i get an “uknown error” when attempting to link my brave wallet to rewards on my laptop. i recently switched to linux and did a bit of distro hopping for a few days. i wonder if the amount of times i signed into brave rewards and my brave wallet is interfering with my ability to claim rewards? i was able to sign into it before on this laptop a couple distros ago, but i’ve been getting an error that says “something went wrong. there was an unexpected error and we weren’t able to finalize the connection. please try again”

What Operating System and Brave version are you using? (Menu --> About Brave) linux (fedora 43), brave 1.85.117

Who is your verified custodian? (Uphold/Gemini/bitFlyer) self custody (brave wallet)

Are you in a supported region? (see here for list of supported regions) yes

Probably your issue may be of interest to Brave team member @Evan123 , but near, and over, the weekend, I am uncertain when you may get a response.

In the meantime, the following info might help you get an idea on how to fix/proceed:
