Ctrl or shift +left/right to select tabs and use other shortcuts like the splited view shortcut

As the previous feature suggested this is a daily used feature, specially because it allows you to have an information tab and and action tab, say in mi example I am watching opencv or fast.ai course on one side and have Jupyter notebook on the other, and this comes very handy, and is why is a use all the time, Ej documentation and GCP ( Google Cloud Platform )

Since it is a useful feature I propose a new shortcut and its interaction with an existing option:

ctrl+left and ctrl+right : Selecting tabs starting at the one we are
the default shortcut for activating the split view in brave://settings/system/shortcuts to be alt+. so that it works with the one up, if this is hard, then just view clicking the two tabs and with the shortcut alt+. to work, since what happens now is that I select the two and type the shortcut and it just leaves the first one and adds and empty tab next to it.

And the ctrl+left or right could be use further to even allow for fast deleting of more than one tab instead of doing ctrl+w multiple times just ctrl+left and one single ctrl+w , or even adding a yank links from tabs selected.

:backhand_index_pointing_up: While you cannot use keyboard shortcuts to do this, you can click on individual tabs while holding Shift to select each tab you click on, then move, close or otherwise manipulate them.

You can set the shortcut to be whatever you’d like in brave://settings/system/shortcuts.

I did not know I could do that, thankyou.

My other concern is mostly about the shortcut of the split view does not work like the button
When I Select the two tabs manually and type the shortcut it does not puts one on the left and another on the right it just splits the active one and leaves on the right an empty tab.

Yeah this is the default behavior of opening new split view in the browser. As most users are not using the Shift + Click on tabs to select multiple tabs, I think we’ll likely go another route to make opening two existing tabs in split view, such as this one:
