Description of the issue:
On two separate PCs (Windows 11 OS) the Cloaked Extension shows a blank pop out window when clicked. The cloaked extension is orange confirming it is logged in. Further, on known websites that used to provide the Cloaked icon in the Email and Password fields no longer show the cloaked icon. Chatting with Cloaked Support resulted in following troubleshoot which did not work:
Remove and reinstall extension after PC restart
Try extension on private window
Remove all other extensions (including any cybersecurity apps)
Create a new Brave profile and add extension to that profile
Expected result: Cloaked Extension works correctly on Brave browser
Brave Version( check About Brave): 1.86.139
Additional Information:
Cloaked extension works correctly on Google Chrome on the two PCs.
No way to Log out and then in to Cloaked app using extension as when clicking on it it is blank. Logging in and out is a function of it recognizing the dashboard being logged into on a browser window.
I can confirm what @Emo is saying. I’m using 1.86.139 without shields or graphics acceleration (they’re off just fort his test) and I get the same blank box.
Edit - Also, for me, there is no difference between the stable version of Brave and the nightly; 1.88.33 has the same issue.
I’m not using Cloaked, however just recently 2 out of 4 of my extensions in Brave stopped working correctly & one of them (EQ+) is also showing a blank window when clicked.
Since the popup is blank, you can look for underlying errors that might point to a specific conflict:
Right-click the blank Cloaked popup window and select Inspect.
Look at the Console tab for any red error messages.
If you see “Refused to execute script” or “Content Security Policy” errors, it confirms a conflict between Brave’s security settings and the extension.
