Description of the issue:
It’s been a few days now that Brave blocks legit popups on work websites and hangs pages even with all protection deactivated. For example, on XTRF when I submit a job. This is particularly annoying and never happened before. The whole page hangs and greys out because the popup is not loaded and I have to use a different browser. Same happens on Plunet.
How can this issue be reproduced?
I am afraid you cannot reproduce it without someone setting up a translation project on XTRF or Plunet. The thing is that it never happened before.
Brave Version( check About Brave): Brave 1.80.115
Additional Information: I think it is an issue with latest update.

As you can see, the “lion” is off. I do not have any adblocker or similar extension installed.
Can you test this issue in a fresh browser profile (Menu --> More tools --> Add profile) and tell me if you get the same behavior there? Also make sure you only have one browser window (the new profile) open when performing this test.

I have tried deactivating every single extension one by one and the issue is still there. Just creating a new profile seems to work, but I would like to have it solved without doing it. It never happened before and I did not install any new extension since the issue started to happen.

As I said, I have tried deactivating every single extension one by one but the issue did not disappear.
Also, I have tried with Chrome (with exactly the same extensions installed) and it works.
Please remember that I have all the protections deactivated for those sites (the lion is grayed out).
This is a big issue because it happens with work websites so, if it is not solved, I will be force to switch to another browser (and I would not want to do that).

It also freezes the page when I press the “Login” button on www.boredpanda.com.
Now even Plex website has issues. If I press the hamburger button on an item and select “Info”, everything goes dark until i press ESC.
Could someone please be so kind to say something? I have been using Brave for years and all of a sudden this happens. Thank you.
If it’s happening in your main profile but not in a fresh profile, then there is something in the main profile causing the issue, although it is unclear what the exact issue is at this point. I’m still inclined to think it’s extensions, even if you tried disabling them.
Have you tried clearing cache/site data for the affected sites in your main profile?
I have found the “culprit”.
Just in case anyone else has the same issue, it was the FastSave extension.
I did not need to remove it, I just had to tell the extension to apply to Instagram website only.
