Can't change focus tab

Description of the issue:
With multiple tabs open, one tab asserts itself as the focus tab.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Have multiple tabs open with one tab (Tab A) in focus
  2. Click on New tab or on another tab
  3. New selected tab flashes then Tab A is still on top

Expected result:
