Brave browser tabs closing when shouldn't

  1. strange tab behaviour.

  2. Example: go Dell.com, any page, click a link, opens in new tab but does not move focus to the new tab as expected.

  3. Click on the tab to select it, instead of moving focus to that tab, clicking closes the tab. Subsequent selection of any other tab, closes them also. The situation persists until all tabs close and the window exits with the last tab, or, I reopen tabs, and at some point a tab opens and the focus goes with it and that’s the end of it, problem gone

  4. Next time go to same website, try same, it does not recur. Some time later, bingo, happens again, I cannot define the conditions, seems random.

  5. The problem is not consistent, does not seem related to any particular web page and no sequence of operations can be identified that leads to it.

Take a look at brave://flags/#closed-tab-cache

I am not sure of, what exactly is the default setting, but you might adjust the setting and see what results - testing - and if no positive result to your liking, set it back to the setting status that you originally found.
