Can’t grant access to camera or mic to website

Description of the issue: I’m using brave on iphone and got the latest version. I have looked everywhere in the brave settings and just can’t grant access to camera/mic to any specific website, the option just isn’t there. In the iphone settings the access is granted to brave. I need it because some website wants me to do a photo biometric verification bull****, but after agreeing to the verification, you would expect brave to pop up and ask something like « do you want to grant this website access to camera ? », but no, nothing is happening, and the website just keeps loading.

How can this issue be reproduced?

Expected result: give access to camera

Brave Version( check About Brave): 1.86 on the app store

Mobile Device details : iphone 13 mini

Additional Information: for reasons I won’t specify I can’t do it on another device

On your iOS device, can you please go to another website that requests these permissions and confirm that you’re prompted to grant permission as expected?

I just tested by going to https://permissions.site since there are a variety of different options.

Yup it worked, I had the « do you wish to grant camera access » thing ( translating bc not in english). That would mean it’s the website fault ?

It’s hard to say without knowing the specific site in question. If you’re being prompted to grant access to camera/mic on other sites as expected then it’s likely to be an issue specific to that site.

It is also worth noting that other browsers on iOS work the same way – that is that they don’t allow you to go in and set specific site permissions the way you can on desktop and Android.

Update I managed to fix it with a good old disconnect account connect again
