I would flush some things and “bang on some switches” . . .
In a Brave Browser New Window, go to the Advanced tab at brave://settings/clearBrowserData ← There, ENABLE (repeat: ENABLE) the following:
- Browsing History
- Cookies and other site data
- Cached images and files
- Autofill form data
Click the Delete data button.
Next, in a Brave Browser New Window, go to brave://settings/content/siteData ← There, select Don't allow sites to save data on your device (not recommended)
AND, while there, scroll down to Sites listed below follow a custom setting instead of the default and just under that, where it says Allowed to save data on your device, add exactly as written here: [*.]brave.com
Exit / Quit Brave Browser. Quit everything else and Restart the computer.
When Brave Browser is running again, in a Brave Browser New Window, go to brave://settings/content/siteData ← There, select Allow sites to save data on your device
Exit / Quit Brave Browser. Quit everything else and Restart the computer.
Now, in order to improve the chances of remaining signed on at a website, you must use ONLY the Brave Browser New Window ← NEVER a Brave Browser New Private Window, and NEVER a Brave Browser New Private Window with Tor.
In addition, websites can, and will, end your signed-on session; for example, banks can and will. There is no “written in stone” signed-on status for some websites.
Note: Some extensions might purposely, or inadvertently / unintentionally, do something that leads to fouled up cookie, cache . . . and then suddenly, you find that you are signed-out somewhere. (Your testing individual extensions, might reveal what you have wondered about.)
You might, as a precaution, in a Brave Browser New Window , revisit the tabs at brave://settings/clearBrowserData ← There, disable switches as you wish.
Overall, maintain routine backups of bookmarks and passwords.
