Brave Logged Me Out Of Everything

Hello,

I opened Brave just now and found I am logged out of everything. Every site is asking me to login again.

Weird thing is, I used Brave just a few minutes ago before this happened, and everything was fine. I closed the browser, came after few minutes, opened Brave again, and then I was presented with logged out pages. ;-;

I also noticed that cookies are still there for multiple sites, but all of them are still logged out. Some sites are having 200-800 MB of cookies, but still logged out.

Bookmarks, favourites, history, etc. seems to be still there, but maybe they came back with sync?

I am afraid I’ll lose the bookmarks and history, as some other people seem to have lost them. ;-; I hope they will remain safe, as I am using the same sync chain on multiple devices.

Any idea what could have caused this?

I have been using Brave for a long time now, and have not made any changes to its settings for a while now. I have no clue on how to reproduce it, so I am not listing the steps.

Brave Version( check About Brave): Brave 1.85.111 (Official build) on Windows 11 (26200.7309).

Yes, I am aware of backing up my data like that. Quite annoying, but I guess I’ll start doing that now.

One weird thing though, I just got to know that my friend experienced the same thing on Google Chrome a few days ago. Maybe it is Chromium issue then, but considering I or my friend have no clue why it happened or what could have triggered it, I don’t think it will be easy to report.

The same thing happened to me, and I have an email account that I only had on Brave. Now that everything is closed, I can’t access that email anywhere.

I was able to relogin on all the websites.
