The latest update installed something called Brave Elevation Service.
What does it do, and do I need it?

Update: One reboot later (not because of any problem) and it’s gone without me doing anything about it.
No problem with Brave, I just like to know what is going on in my machine.

99% time, you can find the answer by searching for chrome.
Not malware, but Brave updated just fine without it.
None of those links really answer my question. I want to know what it is doing (on a technical level), not what Google says it’s for.
Also I’d like to know why it went away after reboot. Is it supposed to do that?
